The virtue of vinegar and using it as a condiment
Sahih Muslim
حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ، بْنُ بِلاَلٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " نِعْمَ الأُدُمُ - أَوِ الإِدَامُ - الْخَلُّ " .
'A'isha reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying: The best of condiments or condiment is vinegar.
