A hadith that does not meet the conditions of a Hasan lighairihi hadith is called Da'if or weak hadith. Imam an-Nawawi said, a hadith in which the conditions of Sahih and Hasan hadith are not found is called a Da'if hadith. Such a hadith is unacceptable. A hadith in which the narrator is missing from the end of the chain, that is, there is a gap between the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Tabi'i, is called Mursal. The reason for including Mursal hadith in the rejected category is the lack of knowledge about the state of the hidden narrator. Because, the hidden person can be a Companion or a Tabi'i. In the second case, he can be weak or reliable, etc. However, if it is known about the Tabi'i that he only narrates Mursal from a reliable person, then the scholars of hadith are in favor of suspending the hadith. Because, the doubt remains. Imam Abu Hanifa (may Allah have mercy on him) and Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) are of the opinion that Mursal hadith should be accepted without any doubt. On the other hand, Imam Shafi'i and Imam Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on them) have said that it is unacceptable. Imam Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said, if it gains strength by being narrated in another chain, whether that chain is Muttasil or Mursal; then it will be acceptable. Because, this will strengthen the possibility that the hidden person is fundamentally reliable. Among the Hanafis, Abu Bakr al-Razi and among the Malikis, Abu al-Walid al-Razi have narrated: If a narrator narrates Mursal from all kinds of reliable and unreliable people, then his Mursal narration will not be acceptable, everyone is in agreement on this.[8]

Hadith

No Hadith Found

"New, the opposite of ancient and old. In this sense, all words, actions, and things that did not exist before but have now come into existence are Hadith. Another meaning of it is: word. In the terminology of the jurists, whatever the Prophet (peace be upon him) said as the Messenger of Allah, whatever he did, and whatever he allowed or supported to be said or done is called Hadith. But the scholars of hadith also include the description related to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the description of his qualities in the hadith. In this respect, hadith is primarily divided into three categories: 1. Qawli Hadith: What the Prophet (peace be upon him) said about something, that is, a hadith in which any of his words are narrated is called a Qawli (related to speech) hadith. 2. Fi'li Hadith: All the rules and regulations of Islam have been manifested through the actions, character, and conduct of the great Prophet (peace be upon him). Therefore, a hadith in which a description of any of his actions is mentioned is called a Fi'li (related to action) hadith. 3. Taqriri Hadith: The words or actions of the Companions that have been approved and supported by the Prophet (peace be upon him), the perspective of the Shari'ah can also be known from the description of such a word or action.
