Prohibition On Earnest Money
Sunan Ibn Majah
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ بَلَغَنِي عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْعُرْبَانِ .
It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, from his grandfather that : the Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the deal involving earnest money .
