Virtues of the Qur'an

66/19. Chapter:

Whoever does not recite the Qur'an in a pleasant tone

Sahih Bukhari

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) I said, "Allah does not listen to a prophet as He listens to a prophet who recites the Qur'an in a loud and pleasant tone." Sufyan said, "This saying means: a prophet who regards the Qur'an as something that makes him dispense with many worldly pleasures."
