Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh))

65/2.55. Chapter:

"The Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord..." (V.2:285)

وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ‏{‏إِصْرًا‏}‏ عَهْدًا‏.‏ وَيُقَالُ ‏{‏غُفْرَانَكَ‏}‏ مَغْفِرَتَكَ، فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا‏.‏

Sahih Bukhari

حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الأَصْفَرِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ أَحْسِبُهُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ـ ‏{‏إِنْ تُبْدُوا مَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ‏}‏ قَالَ نَسَخَتْهَا الآيَةُ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا‏.‏

Narrated Marwan Al-Asghar: A man from the companions of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who I think, was Ibn `Umar said, "The Verse:-- "Whether you show what is in your minds or conceal it...." was abrogated by the Verse following it."
