734. Dua to Ask Allah for Favour and Mercy
Prophet (ﷺ) couldn’t find any food in his wives’ house. So, he said:
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ
اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَسْاَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَرَحْمَتِكَ فَاِنَّهٗ لَا يَمْلِكُهَا اِلَّا اَنْتَ
Allaahumma inni as'aluka min fadlika wa rahmatika fa innahu laa yamlikuhaa illaa anta
Translation
O Allah, I beseech you for your favour and your mercy, for indeed none possesses that except you.
Then a fried goat was presented to Him as a gift. After that Prophet (ﷺ) said, “This is a favor from Allah. Now we are waiting for his mercy.”
