7:140
قَالَ أَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَـٰهًۭا وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ١٤٠
Saheeh International
He said, "Is it other than Allah I should desire for you as a god while He has preferred you over the worlds?"
Tafsir of "Ibn Kathir" (English)
Reminding the Children of Israel of Allah's Blessings for Them Allah tells; قَالَ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَـهًاوَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَوَإِذْ أَنجَيْنَاكُم مِّنْ الِ فِرْعَونَ يَسُومُونَكُمْ سُوَءَ الْعَذَابِ يُقَتِّلُونَ أَبْنَاءكُمْ وَيَسْتَحْيُونَ نِسَاءكُمْوَفِي ذَلِكُم بَلء مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ عَظِيمٌ
