79:38
وَءَاثَرَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا ٣٨
Saheeh International
And preferred the life of the world,
Tafsir of "Ibn Kathir" (English)
And preferred the life of this world,meaning, he gives it precedence over the matters of his religion and his Hereafter.فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى
