And the mountains as pegs,meaning, He made them as pegs for the earth to hold it in place, make it stable and firm. This is so that it may be suitable for dwelling and not quake with those who are in it.Then Allah says,وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا
