إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٢٨
Saheeh International
Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."
Tafsir of "Ibn Kathir" (English)
إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُVerily, We used to invoke Him before.meaning, `we used to invoke Him with submission and humility, and He accepted our invocation and gave us what we wished,'إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُVerily, He is the Most Subtle, the Most Merciful
