ذُوقُوا۟ فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ١٤
Saheeh International
[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."
Tafsir of "Ibn Kathir" (English)
ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْTaste you your trial!Mujahid said, "Your burning"while others said, "Your punishment."هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَThis is what you used to ask to be hastened!This will be said admonishing, chastising, humiliating and belittling them. Allah knows best
