وَقِهِمُ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ وَمَن تَقِ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُۥ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٩
And protect them from the evil consequences [of their deeds]. And he whom You protect from evil consequences that Day - You will have given him mercy. And that is the great attainment."
وَقِهِمُ السَّيِّيَاتِAnd save them from the sins,means, the actions and the consequences.وَمَن تَقِ السَّيِّيَاتِ يَوْمَيِذٍand whomsoever You save from the sins that Day,means, the Day of Resurrection,فَقَدْ رَحِمْتَهُhim verily, You have taken into mercy.means, `You have protected him and saved him from punishment.'وَذَلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُAnd that is the supreme success.
