Tafsir of Az Zumar Ayat 43 - Ibn Kathir

39:43

أَمِ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُفَعَآءَ ۚ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ ٤٣

Saheeh International

Or have they taken other than Allah as intercessors? Say, "Even though they do not possess [power over] anything, nor do they reason?"

There is no Intercession except with Allah, and how the Idolators are filled with Disgust when Allah is mentioned alone Allah says,أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاء قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْيًا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ
